Prescott Fires Nine-Over 81 at LVC Invitational

LEBANON VALLEY, Pa.--Junior Aaron Prescott carded a nine-over 81 to lead the Hood College men's golf team to a 19th place finish at the Lebanon Valley College Fall Invitational Monday at the Lebanon Country Club.

Prescott finished in a five-way tie for 36th place out of 116 competitors. Delaware Valley College's Mike Kachurak, Messiah College's Matt Burkhart and Albright College's Erik Thorn all shot even par, but it was Kachurak captured medalist honors on the first playoff hole.

Hood junior Andy Alger tied for 62nd with an 85 (+13), while classmate Evan Chaney notched an 86 (+14) for 70th. Rounding out the Blazer contingent were Ira Benoit, who tallied a 92 (+20), and Tyler Fairley, who registered a 93 (+21).

Albright College won the invitational with a combined score of 307. The Blazers compiled a score of 344, besting four other schools for 19th place.

Hood will take on Capital Athletic Conference foe Stevenson University at the Piney Branch Golf Club Thursday at 1 p.m.
