Chaney, Alger, Prescott Compete at CAC Championships

HAMPSTEAD, Md.--Three members of the Hood College golf team competed at the 2009 Capital Athletic Conference championship Saturday and Sunday at the Piney Branch Golf Club.
Evan Chaney was Hood's top finisher with a 36-hole score of 159 (80-79) to finish in a tie for ninth overall. Chaney earned all-CAC second team accolades for his performance. Andy Alger placed 16th with a two-round score of 167 (89-78), while Aaron Prescott finished 20th with a combined tally of 174 (90-84).
York's Adam Dupler won medalist honors with a seven-over 149 (75-74), finishing four strokes ahead of runner-ups Cliff Mangle of Stevenson University and Jeff Owsik of Wesley College.
The Spartans captured the team title with a two-day total of 614 (311-303), 16 strokes better than second-place Wesley.
