Chaney Cards Career-Best at Penn State Harrisburg Invitational

HARRISBURG, Pa.--Sophomore Evan Chaney of the Hood College men's golf team carded a career-low 83 (+11) at the Penn State University-Harrisburg Invitational Monday in the Blazers' first fall competition held at the Dauphin Highlands Golf Course.

Classmate Andy Alger finished his round with an 89, while senior Daniel Reid fired a 101 and freshman Bob Ranft, playing in his first tournament for the Blazers, tallied a 110.

Hood finished 11th out of 11 teams at the invitational with a combined score of 383. York College (Pa.) won the tournament with a 313, edging out Messiah College and Philadelphia Biblical College by seven strokes.

The Blazers' next match is slated for Thursday, Sept. 18, against Stevenson University.
