Aaron Prescott Chosen as CAC Men's Golf Rookie of the Year
FREDERICK, Md.--Freshman Aaron Prescott of the Hood College men's golf team was selected as the Capital Athletic Conference Men's Golf Rookie of the Year.
The native of Frederick, Md., and product of Linganore High School carded the lowest combined score by a rookie at the conference championship last weekend. Prescott tied for 12th overall with a two-round score of 170 (84-86). He finished 16 strokes off the pace set by medalist Chris Osberg of Wesley College. The Blazers placed fifth in the team competition with a combined score of 741.
In eight rounds this season, Prescott posted an 87.5 stroke average and carded a low round of 81 at the Bent Creek Invitational back in October.
