Hood Announces Four Golf Recruits for 2007-08 Season

FREDERICK, Md.--Head men's golf coach Tom Dickman announced the addition of four talented golfers to his 2007-08 roster who excel both in the classroom and on the links.

Andrew Alger, Evan Chaney, Aaron Prescott and Ryan Willard will all attend Hood College beginning in the fall of 2007.

A native of Frederick and product of Brunswick High School, Alger won the Frederick County Championship and the Monocacy Valley Championship during his prep career. He was also an all-conference and all-county performer his junior and senior years. Additionally, Alger is a member of the National Honor Society and earned Scholar-Athlete accolades as a senior.

Chaney was a classmate of Alger's at Brunswick who claimed the 2006 Poolesville Junior Championship. An Antietam Conference first team pick in 2006, he is also a member of the National Honor Society.

Prescott is another local product who comes to Hood from Linganore High School. He earned all-district second team honors and also served as a team captain.

Willard attended Boonsboro High School and was part of a squad that qualified for the state tournament two years in a row. An honorable mention all-county choice, Willard also earned a spot on the Distinguished Honor Roll and in the National Honor Society.
