WINCHESTER, Va.--Matt Schimmel shot a 12-over-par 83 to pace the Hood golf team in a dual match against Shenandoah Thursday at the Winchester Country Club.

The Hornets had the four top finishers and won the match with a 315. The Blazers did not post the required four scores and therefore did not record a team score.

Justin Junghans shot a 93 to tie for sixth and Chris Presgraves added a 106 to finish ninth.

Taylor Chamberlin led Shenandoah with a five-over-par 76, edging teammate Joe Orsino by a stroke.

The Blazers return to action Monday at the York Invitational beginning at 1 p.m.
