LEBANON, Pa.-The golf team participated in its first-ever team competition Monday at the Lebanon Valley College Fall Golf Tournament.

The Blazers placed 19th in the tournament and were led by Matt Schimmel and Justin Junghans. Schimmel scored an 81, tying him for 42nd place, and Junghans carded an 85, good for 65th.

York College won the tournament with a combined team score of 300. The individual winner of the tournament was Mike Wilhelm from Lebanon Valley, with a 72.

The golf team will have its second team competition, Tuesday, Oct. 4 at the Links of Gettysburg.
