MONT ALTO, Pa.--The Hood College men's basketball team (12-10) registered an 86-67 nonconference win over Penn State-Mont Alto (7-9) Monday evening.
First-year Cameron Cook buried a career-best seven three-pointers en route to a 29-point performance to lead four Blazers in double figures. Brenden Straughn, Justin Stone and Tyler Snoots all chipped in 10 points apiece while Jamal Bell knocked down a pair of threes for six points off the bench.
Hood, which picked up its second win over the Nittany Lions on the season after earning a 93-59 victory in its season opener, shot 43.7 percent from the field and led 47-25 at halftime.
The Blazers return to Capital Athletic Conference play Wednesday at the University of Mary Washington. The Eagles are a half game in front of the Blazers for third place in the standings.
