FREDERICKSBURG, Va.--The University of Mary Washington (12-5, 8-2) connected on 17-of-30 from beyond the arc in a 102-75 Capital Athletic Conference victory over the Hood College men's basketball team (12-7, 6-4 CAC) Wednesday evening.

The Eagles buried nine triples in the first half to stake the home team to a 44-25 halftime advantage. Hood connected on 64 percent of its field goal attempts (16-of-25) from the field in the second half but the Eagles did not let up, drilling eight more treys to remain tied for first place in the league standings with York College (Pa.).

Junior Jeff Willison notched a season-high 14 points on 5-of-7 from the field in 19 minutes of work off the bench to pace the Blazers. Freshman Rian McHenry also reached double figures with 11 points and seven rebounds. The Eagles limited Hood's leading scorer, Ryan Junghans (19.5 ppg), to just three field goal attempts and three points in the contest, his first single-digit scoring effort of the season.

Justin Baker led five Eagles in double figures with 21 points, including 4-of-5 from distance.

The Blazers look to snap their three-game losing skid Saturday hosting Gallaudet University at 8 p.m. at Gov. Thomas Johnson High School.
