Hood to Open New Outdoor Athletic Facility

FREDERICK, Md.--In the fall of 2009 Hood College will dedicate a new outdoor FieldTurf® playing field, locker room facilities and stadium entrance that will lift our athletics programs to a new level.

Hood College student-athletes will be playing soccer, lacrosse and field hockey on a surface that will be one of the best in intercollegiate athletics. This is the first phase of upgrades that will allow us to meet the needs and demands of today’s college athletes.

The multipurpose Recreation-Education-Athletic Center (REAC) will be home to 19 intercollegiate athletic programs for more than 200 student-athletes, recreational and intramural programs and many other campus-wide activities.
