FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College field hockey team ran into Virginia Wesleyan and fell 7-0.

  • The Blazers' defense held firm until the Marlins struck with a goal at 15:50 by Hunter Majewski when she put back a rebound that found its way into the goal. VWU added two more before halftime and led 3-0 at the break.
  • Taylor Wilhelm scored her third goal for the Marlins in the 60th minute for Virginia Wesleyan's sixth tally of the day.


  • Hood fell to 0-3 overall.
