ST. MARY'S CITY, Md.--Ali Femd recorded a hat trick for the St. Mary's College (Md.) field hockey team (9-4, 5-1 CAC) in a 7-0 win over Hood College (3-11, 0-6 CAC) Saturday.

Anne Marie Hantman and Ashley Saylor split time in the cage and faced a total of 34 shots on the afternoon. Hantman came up with three saves and allowed a pair of goals while Saylor racked up 12 stops and allowed five scores. Sophomore Brandy Noel registered Hood's only shot on goal on the day. Classmate Jen Graham notched a pair of defensive saves while Lauren Perzan and Crystal Parker also made one defensive save apiece.

Emily Richards and Emma Lauhoff each played one half in the cage and combined for the shutout.

The Blazers wrap up the 2007 campaign Wednesday at the College of Notre Dame at 3:30 p.m.
