Weather Forces Shuffle in Weekend Athletics Schedules
FREDERICK, Md.--Severe weather conditions caused by Ernesto have
forced Hood College to shuffle its athletics schedule for this
weekend.
With the Hood campus closing Friday at 2:30 p.m. due to the threat
of severe weather, the home field hockey match against Marywood at
4 p.m. and the home volleyball match against Mary Washington at 7
p.m. have been postponed. No make-up dates have been announced.
Ernesto has also affected the weekend schedule for the Hood men's
soccer team. The Blazers were to have played in the North Carolina
Wesleyan College Fall Classic Saturday and Sunday in Rocky Mount,
N.C. The tournament has been moved to Sunday and Monday. Hood takes
on the host Battling Bishops Sunday at 1 p.m. and face Villa Julie
College Monday at 11 a.m.
The Kim Servedio Memorial Women's Soccer Tournament set for this
Saturday and Sunday at Hood College and the Baltimore Metro Cross
Country Invitational scheduled for Saturday in Towson, Md., remain
as scheduled.
Check the Hood athletics Web site Saturday for any further updates.
