Six Blazers Named to NFHCA Academic Squad

GLEN ALLEN, Va.--The National Field Hockey Coaches Association recently recognized six Hood College student-athletes for their outstanding academic achievement.

Senior goalkeeper Cheryl Banks, senior defender Rachel Gauza, sophomore forward Christina Woody, sophomore defender Christa Lundskow, sophomore forward Megan Crook and freshman defender Sarah Hashemzadeh were named to the 2005 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad.

The squad honors those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the 2005-06 academic year.
