Team Sports

All of our intramural sport offerings are team oriented. Intramurals is a fun and competitive way to compete against your friends and other students on campus. All sports are co-recreational (male & female)

Forming a Team

Each sport requires different roster sizes. The best way to get started with one of our sports is to form your own team or join a “Free Agent Team”. Free Agent teams are for students that do not have a team, but wish to participate in the given sport. We welcome dorms to submit teams, campus groups and organizations, or you can simply form a team filled with friends. To submit a team for an upcoming sport please contact Molly Frazier | Intramural Director by email: frazier@hood.edu

How to Register

Once information is released for an upcoming sport all you will need to do is submit a roster to Brad Barber | Intramural Director by email: frazier@hood.edu –or- you can stop by the second floor of the athletics department, room 215. Rosters must include the following details:

  • Student Name
  • Graduation Year

All field sports will be played on the Hood College turf field or on the campus quad – court sports will be played in either Gambrill gymnasium or BB&T arena. Schedules will be updated and posted to the website prior to the start of each sport.
