ABOUT THE BLUE AND GREY CLUB

The Blue and Grey Club is Hood College's booster organization for athletics. The Club will enhance the relationship between the College's athletic programs and its alumni, friends and parents; it will share the College's same commitment to excellence that has characterized Hood throughout its history.

A Blue and Grey Club membership will provide Hood College with additional financial resources to support our 22 intercollegiate teams and two club sports. Those resources with be exclusively used for athletics and for the benefit of the men and women who compete in athletics at Hood College.

Listed to the right are the recognition levels which will activate certain membership benefits. Membership is on an annual basis, running July 1 to June 30.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Who can join the Blue and Grey Club? Anyone interested in supporting athletics at Hood College may join.
  • Is my contribution to the Blue and Grey Club tax-deductible? In most cases yes, consistent with federal and state regulations. You may wish to consult your financial adviser if you have any doubts regarding tax deductibility. And you will receive a gift receipt from Hood College for tax purposes.
  • Why contribute to the Blue and Grey Club? Your contribution will build a stronger athletic program, while also assiting in the education of young women and men who compete in athletics at Hood College. You will also be able to join with other interested parties who support Hood College athletics and have some fun.
  • How will my contribution be used? All donations to Blue and Grey memberships will be exclusively restricted to athletics. Funds may be used to purchase team equipment, training room supplies and weight room and conditioning apparatus, support the sports recognition activities of our student-athletes and will be used to improve the Hood student-athlete experience.

HOOD COLLEGE ATHLETICS MISSION STATEMENT

Hood College is committed to the overall development of its students and supports all of its men and women in their pursuit of intercollegiate athletic competition. The College will adhere to the principles and spirit of fair play and sportsmanship through the rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA and is committed to the equal treatment of all of its student-athletes. The College is further committed to the academic success and the overall health and welfare of its student-athletes. To that end, the College will assure that student-athletes will have the opportunity to reach the highest levels of performance by being provided adequate training and playing facilities, competent coaching and an appropriate level of academic support.
