Indoor Pool update:

• Hot water heater repairs continue.
• Our Goal is to re-open the pool on Friday, September 5th.
• The Outdoor pool will be open for lap swim during the normal Indoor pool hours.

Outdoor pool schedule through September 1st:

Lap swim only:  Tue-Fri       6:30-8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.-noon
                          Mon- Thu   7:30-8:30 p.m.

Rec and Lap Swim:  Mon-Sun   noon-7 p.m.

Outdoor pool schedule September 2-4:

Lap swim only:  Tue-Thu       6:30-8 a.m. and 9:45-11:45 a.m.
                          Tue & Thu    7:30-8:30 p.m.
                          Wed            7-8:30 p.m.

Rec and Lap Swim: Tue-Thu  11:45 a.m. - 1:45 p.m.

Beginning Monday, August 25, 2008 parking on campus Monday - Friday is restricted to the Chapel Lot.  You will need a Parking Pass to park in the Chapel Lot.  This is a FREE pass. Members and group lesson participants may register for a pass at the outdoor pool office or on the online registration forms.  Campus Map

Thank you for visiting the Hood College Aquatics Web site. To see the various programs we offer, hold your mouse cursor over the word "Aquatics" in the grey menu bar above and all of the links will appear on the line below.  We accept online registrations for memberships and swim lessons. To schedule a pool party or for information on our water aerobics classes please email us or call 301-696-3484. Hood Aquatics offers three heated pools!!!

• The Bubble is a 6 lane 25 yard heated pool with an extended shallow end area. During the summer this is an outdoor pool. In the fall, winter, and spring we put a bubble over the pool so it can be used year round. We use this pool for lap swim, rec swim, lessons, swim team, and pool parties. When the bubble is up the air temperature is a comfortable 85 degrees and the water temperature is about 82 degrees.
• Our children's wading pool ranges from 1-2 feet deep and the water temperature is kept at about 86 degrees. This pool is for children 5 years old and younger with parent supervision. We also use this pool for swim lessons.
• The Hodson Indoor pool is a 4 lane 20 yard heated pool. During open hours this pool is used only for lap swimming. We also run swim team practices, swim lessons, water aerobics classes, and host pool parties here. The air temperature is generally in the low 80's and the water temperature is kept at 83-84 degrees. 

Due to an increase in the number of residential students at Hood, parking on campus is now limited to students, faculty and staff.
